The Story Behind the name Yambini
Share
The name Yambini is more than just a name - it carries a purpose, a philosophy, and a deep personal meaning. It stands for two powerful messages:
1 - You And Me Bringing Inspiration Nurturing Imagination
2 - You And Me Brewing Inclusivity Not Intolerance
When I create a personalised book, I see it as a collaboration between myself and the person gifting it. Together, we shape a story that will bring joy, comfort, and inspiration to their loved one. Whether it’s a child discovering themselves in a magical adventure or a couple celebrating their unique love story, Yambini is about making storytelling personal and meaningful.
Beyond storytelling, Yambini is also a reflection of something very close to my heart—teaching my children about tolerance, kindness, acceptance, and respect. In a world that sometimes highlights differences in a divisive way, I want my children to grow up knowing that we all belong. We don’t have to look the same, think the same, or be the same, but we do need to respect and accept each other for who we are.
This belief is at the core of my book The Best Me I Can Be, Is Me. Through the character Fynn, I explore the idea that no matter how we look on the outside, inside us all beats a heart that’s the same. It’s a story about embracing differences, standing tall in one’s own uniqueness, and seeing the beauty in others. My hope is that, through this and all my books, children and adults alike will find messages of inclusivity, self-acceptance, and love.
Yambini is more than just books. It’s a movement - one story at a time - to bring people together, nurture imagination, celebrate diversity, and inspire a kinder world.
